Playsmrt allows parents to create a safe, interactive environment in which children 1 to 8 years old can play media, communicate with family members, and learn. Parents set limits, kids explore!
Playsmrt allows parents to easily permit access to a vast array of content, websites and digital applications, while setting limits. Children get an age-appropriate, safe interface where they feel as if they are in control -- Skyping with their grandparents, starting and stopping videos, printing out B & W images to color on, learning languages, plus much more all under their own direction.
The service is available both as a free download for PC’s and netbooks and in the future other platforms. Parents plan and organize digital media for their kids with a web interface; the kids interact with age-appropriate hardware to access that media and connections.
Playsmrt’s business model is based on subscription services and hosting, plus sales through its media portal. Successful serial entrepreneur Beth Marcus (sold 1st company to MSFT in 1996) is leading an experienced and connected team.
