
Fixya, the world’s largest product enthusiast community, seeks a passionate .Net Lead Architect. The selected candidate will work directly with the Founder/CEO, Product Management and Design Team to develop and deploy a highly scalable framework, database, and service oriented architecture into production via iterative short releases and on a very aggressive timeline. Skills
The ideal candidate shall possess the following skills;
• 5+ years in .NET/C# development and strong experience with design patterns
• At least 8 years of overall object oriented design and programming (e.g. C++, C#, Java, etc.) experience with at least 5 years in .NET/C# development
• At least 5 years experience with MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008
• Hands-on experience architecting consumer based Web 2.0 websites. Experience with peer based communities a big plus
• Experienced in agile methodology like Scrum, as well as leading technical teams of 3+ developers
• Experience using XML/XSL and related standards, Web Services, SOAP and APIs
• Previously served as a developer at a consumer focused, web-based startup
• Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline from a four year accredited university. Relevant advanced degree a plus.
• Past experience working in parallel with remote or offshore teams a plus
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the hands on Principal designer/architect of a proprietary .NET website framework and community application
• Be a key driving force behind the product
• Ensure that all software projects have appropriate design documentation and are optimized for performance under max load
• Mentor technical staff members on best practices in design
• Test-driven developer with experience in frameworks such as NUnit
• Well versed in service-oriented architecture (SOA)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Must be able to take ownership with minimum technical supervision
• Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus
