Party Earth is looking for a creative and highly skilled Front End Developer/UI Developer to design and implement the user interface and user experience for the Party Earth website (www.partyearth.com) and digital applications. The Front End Developer/UI Developer will be a key member of the Web Team and play an integral role in bringing the site’s vision to life.

Responsibilities
• Play a key role in the website re-design and ongoing website development and operations
• Design and develop a cutting-edge user interface for a young, hip audience based on visual designs, mock-ups/wireframes, and requirements
• Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle
o Participate in requirements sessions to gain understanding of user and system functionality
o Work with graphic designers to determine the user experience, page layouts, and page flows
o Implement the user interface and work with back end developers to ensure the web application links up properly
o Debug and test the UI and work with the functional team to ensure the UI and design meets requirements and specifications
o Conduct ongoing maintenance and operations to the user interface
• Continually enhance the user interface and add new, cutting-edge features
• Ensure multi-browser support and functionality
• Design and develop mobile interfaces
• Work closely with the Product Manager, graphic designer, and development team to ensure the successful implementation and integration of the user interface with the web application
• Maintain cutting-edge knowledge of modern web browser capabilities, compatibility issues and behavior, standards compliance, and accessibility issues
• Seek innovative ways to incorporate new ideas into the user experience
• Incorporate various social media into the site and applications

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2-4 years of UI implementation and/or interactive experience working on high traffic, consumer-facing sites, ideally in the media and entertainment industry
• Experience designing, implementing, and testing user interfaces for the following:
o Content-focused websites (written, photo, video, and user-generated content)
o User communities/Social networks
o Mobile sites and mobile applications
o Search Engine Optimization
o Marketing and advertising components
o E-commerce/store/shopping cart
o Third-party sites, tools, and functionality (i.e. Google Maps, You Tube)
• Critical eye for user experience and interface design
• Ability to continually develop features in a fast-paced environment
• General UI background (information architecture, site flow, accessibility, browser capabilities)
• Understanding of web/interactive design, including usability, compatibility, advantages and limitations, and user interface design process and methodology
• Knowledge of cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility
• Ability to hand code standards compliant, cross-browser compatible HTML and CSS
• Experience optimizing images for web use
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate creative ideas
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• An understanding of different platforms: web, mobile/iPhone and desktop apps
• Ability to think outside the box and come up with original ideas for solving business problems using technology
• Experience in debugging and resolving production issues
• Ability to work in a team environment but also independently with minimum direction
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Extreme attention to detail
• Ability to work in a “start-up” environment
• Bachelor’s Degree
