My name is Jonathan Gibson and I am an interactive designer. For two decades I have been producing rich media systems people find meaningful, useful, and fun.
My training in building Architecture has been a great springboard into Information Architecture. I used Photoshop & Flash before they had those names, I created the icon for the first web browser Mosaic; published the Wraptures series of seamless tile-able texture libraries; designed several non-linear video editing systems for both professional & consumer markets; I have been iTV director of development & lead designer, and produced numerous virtual goods.
I prefer leading teams that push limits visually & conceptually and lead by example. I've been shaping electronic products for years and bring a wealth of experience to keep your crew from reinventing the wheel as we drive the shopping cart to market.

Currently, I am focused on mobile & tablet Apps and the transition from real-world to virtual goods. I am bootstrapping a mobile App company and I am fine taking on lesser roles during the startup phase, but willing to switch gears and straddle the globe with a great company and team… if that's our option.

I also cavort in Minecraft with my ten year old boy and think it's one of the neatest virtual toys ever.

Lead or work in a team pushing the limits of interactive communications with a primary role around User Interface Design. I am also able to shepherd goods to market as Product Manager or Producer and think my experience useful for teams with younger blood trying not to re-invent wheels. I believe in solutions-oriented products and often take the consumers' POV during development to argue feature-creep, privacy boundaries, and simplicity.
