The Role:
As the marketing / social media assistant manager, you will assist the marketing director with planning and executing of student and client-focused marketing programs. This individual will manage the day-to-day execution of programs including social media, press releases, writing newsletters and SEO content, and e-mail marketing.
The role will also include assisting with direct mail and trade show planning, as well as monitoring and measuring programs through regular reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Spearhead ongoing social media initiatives on Facebook, Twitter and other sites
• Write press releases and send pitches
• Maintain blogger / media lists
• Assist in writing and sending CRM e-mails including newsletters
• Manage day-to-day activities for our student scholarship program
• Help with tradeshow planning
• Assist with direct mail copy writing and development
• Write SEO-friendly content for our website
Job Requirements:
• Have a bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, or business
• Have at least one year experience in a related field
• Be a writer with a strong creative drive who can think on your feet
• Be highly organized. You always deliver projects on schedule and don’t miss a beat
• Know at least a little HTML
• Love to be social online
