MediaVue is a privately owned and funded company. We design and build computers for the digital signage market. We began shipping products two years ago, about three months before the economic “crisis” hit. Despite the downturn, we have managed to survive, expanding our product line and our customer base. We already have customers in more than 25 countries. Our products have developed a reputation for high quality and reliability.
We have strong relationship with the leading software vendor in our industry that is generating a constant stream of sales leads. We are also trying to put in place a growing network of representatives and distributors in international markets. We have a continuous and growing need to develop marketing and sales support materials that can integrate with our web site.
To date sales and marketing have been largely handled by the company president. The workload and opportunities are now developing more rapidly than I can manage alone. I am seeking someone who can work directly with me to support these various functions and to assume the lead responsibility for some of them. This will be a combination of product marketing, inside sales and marketing communications. Familiarity with web-based marketing would be a big plus. Also, foreign language skills, particularly Spanish and Portuguese, would be helpful since we support our Latin American customers from our main office.
We operate from a 150-year old barn in a suburban Boston location. The atmosphere is informal but high-energy. We design and build our products at this location and ship directly to our customers worldwide. Our competitors are some of the major global computer manufacturers but we are successfully competing with U.S. designed and built products.
I am seeking someone who is bright, energetic, articulate and personable. You need to be comfortable with a flexible and fluid description of your role. You should be comfortable with computer technology but you do not need to be a techie. The position will begin as an internship and can grow into a regular position for the right person.
