Many colleges ask their applicants to answer four essay questions. We wish to turn the tables. Every year we will ask colleges to go on record with honest answers to four insightful questions.
In order to identify good questions, we will be running a scholarship contest. To win a scholarship, you need not answer a question; you need only think up a good question that deserves an answer.
We want to launch the contest on March 1st 2010 with winners announced on June 1, 2010.
We would like help in all aspects of this project: publicity, viral marketing, journalism, web-site design, graphic artists, judging winning entries, business development, etc.
We do not have a revenue model yet, and we do not offer compensation other than experience. We are only interested in people who think this is a worthy project in its own right. It is possible this will evolve into a profitable business; we can imagine a website supported by advertising, an annual college guide, etc. Or it may evolve into a non-profit. We have no idea; we’re doing this simply because we see a need.
