We are currently seeking a strong software QA engineer. You will be the second team member in our new QA organization and will play a key role in defining QA processes, selecting QA tools, and creating a strong QA organization. You should have most of the following:

* A passion for software testing and quality assurance.
* An uncanny ability to identify edge-cases and uncover subtle, but important,
defects.
* Commercial experience testing internet applications comprising web,
application, and database servers.
* Experience with load and scalability testing and UI testing as well as
functional and system testing.
* A demonstrated ability to learn complex applications and technologies quickly.
* Experience working with version control systems such as Subversion, merging
code changes from branches, and building releases.
* Excellent time-management and prioritization skills. You must be able to focus
on key
objectives and streamline processes.
* Strong communication skills. Your defect reports give developers everything
they need to reproduce and diagnose issues quickly. Your release notes are
clear and descriptive.
* Linux experience; bonus points for Ubuntu familiarity.
* Experience developing automated tests, preferably in Selenium, is a plus.
* An ability to read and understand Ruby, Java, and/or JavaScript code and use
your understanding to define good test suites is a plus.
