Seeking Entreprenuerial-minded Rails developer for paid internship working on web and mobile applications. You'll work directly with an established product developer and entrepreneur learning how to build, bootstrap and market successful web products that drive organic growth, attract users, and generate buzz. Take ownership of coding responsibilities and technology decisions as you improve your skills and learn through cause-and-effect as you launch analytics-driven marketing campaigns and monetization strategies on high-use platforms with a large active user base.

Responsibilities include:

- Helping to implement a premium service offering on an existing portfolio site
- Writing scalable, well-factored, well-tested application code
- Refactoring code, fixing bugs and writing tests
- Building CSS/HTML from Photoshop files
- Segmentation of platform code into discreet, re-usable functional units a la Rails Engines
- Web services API development
- Working on web projects with our Fortune 500 client-base

Requirements:

- 1+ years working with Rails (must provide links to sites you've developed)
- 1+ years Javascript/JQuery development
- Strong HTML/CSS skills
- Experience working with Haml/Sass
- Experience with Memcache and middleware caching systems
- rspec and cucumber for testing
- Database proficiency (schema design and SQL)
- Keen interest in Product Development
- Eye for design
- ActiveMerchant experience a plus
