As the senior Systems administrator for the company you will be responsible for the architecture, configuration and maintenance of Stratalux’s computing environment. Additionally you will be responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of Stratalux’s customer installations. Your responsibilities will include.
• Designing and building cloud-based computing infrastructures utilized by Stratalux for the purpose of managing its customers.
• Create and manage scripts that automate many cloud oriented tasks and processes (e.g. Automatic provisioning and termination of customer instances)
• Support Stratalux customer managed infrastructures.
• Act as project lead for launching new customer installations.
• Be part of 24/7 on call support organization.
Qualifications
• 5 – 7 years of Unix/Linux System administration skills.
• Some windows experience desirable.
• 3 + years scripting experience in any of the following.(Bash, ruby, python, etc. )
• Experience managing cloud infrastructures from companies like Amazon, Rackspace Cloud, Azure or Slicehost among others.
• Experience with cloud management products like Rightscale, puppet, chef, delta cloud other solutions.
• Open-source system management tools like cacti, nagios, ganglia, monin, monit, etc.
• DevOps experience desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
