Truedomain was built to identify and stop email-borne phishing attacks. We partner with email receivers to stop attacks at the point of delivery, and to help deliver legitimate email from trustworthy senders. In addition, we provide critical data and analytics to our customers to help them monitor their email traffic and authentication performance, immediate notification of attacks and fraudulent activity, and key information they can use to identify, locate and take down the phishers perpetrating the attacks. We currently protect hundreds of millions of consumer email accounts and are adding more every day.

Now we’re looking for a rock-star software developer to join our growing engineering team.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for the design and implementation of Truedomain’s customer facing business intelligence platform and web UI. You’ll work closely with the rest of the development team to ensure we’re delivering the best and most useful web based analytics tools to our customers, and with our marketing and customer teams to achieve high usability and design objectives.

Our development team is small and very tight-knit, and so you’ll have a huge impact not only on delivering products & services, but also influencing the technical and architectural direction of our platforms. We all wear many hats around here. So will you.

Specifically, your days will be full of:

•Leading interface and usability design with engineering, marketing and customer teams
•End-to-end production of the web based UI, from concepts and wireframes to publishing code
•Interfacing directly with customers to gather direct input and feedback on features and design
•Collaborating with engineering team to ensure alignment between capabilities of Truedomain’s
core application suite are presented clearly and effectively
•Providing thought leadership for future product capability and feature enhancement
•Eating your own dog food – you’ll use the tools you build every day and know them better than anyone

Your Background
--------------
The right candidate will be able to break down complex tasks into manageable smaller tasks to help build roadmap and software delivery schedules, and will have a solid history of successfully executing against them. You’re smart, a team player and someone who excels in environments with huge opportunity and limited structure. You’ll have at least a BS in Computer Science or equivalent, and even better if you’ve gone on to complete your Masters. You will have met deadlines, shipped products and along the way, amassed a second-to-none portfolio of skills that include:

Must-Haves
----------
•5 or more years developing customer facing UI front-ends
•Ability to design a great web interface from scratch
•Ability to take existing product and make it attractive and smooth visually
•Strong HTMl, JavaScript, CSS skills
•Strong front end web development skills such as jQuery, DHTML, Ajax, Flash
•Experience building web applications using MVC frameworks (ideally cakePHP)
•Background in building robust and secure web front-ends for enterprise software,
cloud-based services, large-scale messaging solutions, or email security products
•Demonstrated ability to deliver quality software on a tight schedule
•Experience with developing rich web 2.0 style applications
•Excellent verbal and written communication
•A can-do attitude and willingness do whatever it takes to make the company successful
•A passion for working in a fast-paced innovative startup environment

Nice-to-Haves
------------
•UI design experience
•Industry experience in distributed system development, development of public APIs using SOAP or REST
•Industry experience developing highly scalable applications using relational databases (MySQL preferred) in a LAMP environment
•Experience in email authentication technologies (DKIM, SPF, Domain Keys, S/MIME)
•Experience in email gateway applications (email content filtering, spam, anti-phishing)
•You’ve built office furniture from Ikea before
