Solar measurement science today fails to recognize that solar energy is 2-D capturing system verse wind which is vertical capturing system. Hence a “point source measurement system” is inappropriate for solar. In addition the “point source measurement” i.e. the pyranometers are inappropriate because they become dirty or soiled and can lead to false results. Our technology is a 2-D measuring system. It primarily used weather satellite images and data which overcome the limitation of ground base truth system, namely having dirty optics. It uses clouding drifting and highly accurate irradiation measurements using our proprietary technology, which creates a 2-D measurement system. Cloud drifting allows you project the shadows across the activity solar panels thus one can count the number of productive panels and non productive panels. Today irradiation calculation using weather satellite technologies are based upon just the visual channel which is 50% of spectrum or 80% of sunlight energy.
