nuAlerts (www.nuAlerts.com) is a fast growing startup located in Pleasanton, CA. We help businesses and communities get the word out via social media, text messaging, widgets, email and so more.

The company is led by experienced entrepreneurs that previously founded two venture backed software companies in the Bay Area.

We launched about a year ago and are experiencing rapid growth. We are seeking an outstanding Software Engineer to lead the development effort. Requirement:
- been a Lead Engineer in a LAMPS development environment for atleast 3 years
- Degree in Computer Science from a well recognized school/college
- Atleast 7 years software development experience
- Expert in PHP/Smarty/JQuery and good working knowledge of MySQL
- Must have developed a LAMPS application that is currently in production on the web
- Good understanding of how to develop scalable and maintainable web applications.

The role requires developing technical specs, maintaining and enhancing application architecture, coding the most complex parts, managing releases, and leading a team of 5-10 engineers, most of whom are offshore.

For the right candidate, this can grow into a management role with significant equity.

Telecommute is ok most of the time, but will need to be available for in-person meetings in Pleasanton, CA, once or twice a week.

As a bootstrapped startup, we are currently offering sweat equity only. May work part time till we get funded and start paying salaries.
