The project is a business and technology transformation of one of our family of Brands that is implementing an eCommerce platform. This position requires imaginative thinking and the ability to apply new methodologies to design complex solutions. The online channel is a key focus area for the company and is growing quickly.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

� Oversight of the technical design aspects of ecommerce systems integrations and technology applications.

� Architect applications and web site solutions using Java, XML, JSP, SOAP, AJAX, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, online store-fronts, with focus on reuse and web services and other web technologies.

� Lead and mentor other developers in coding complex technical solutions

� Develop unit and system testing of application code, as well as execution of implementation activities.

� The ability to design and deliver high quality and high performance, reliable and supportable software is an essential requirement.

� The candidate should have ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

� This position will be involved in all phases of product development from review of functional specifications through assisting with the design and oversight of the development activities.

� Be very hands-on; work with the development team to manage the day-to-day development activities by leading architecture decisions, participating in designs, design review, code review, and implementation.

� Candidate must be able to work with a minimum of technical supervision and supplemental engineering support, while responding efficiently to multiple program priorities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Bachelor�s degree � preferably in computer science � or equivalent experience

2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

3. 8+ years of overall experience with 6+ years of experience with object-oriented design and development using the J2EE platform (Java technology including JSP,

Servlets, JNDI/JDBC, XML, XSL, XSLT, and Java based XML API's ) including Java/J2EE design patterns.

4. Previous large scale implementation experience

5. Strong experience with development best practices, Design Patterns, OO concepts

6. Experience with multiple application servers (JBoss, Apache, Oracle Application Server, etc.)

7. Object Oriented Design and Programming, J2EE applications, tier components (JDBC, Servlets, JMS, JNDI, etc.), Java/J2EE design patterns, SOAP, Web Services

and stand alone Java applications

8. Experience with the following package software solutions: Sterling Order Capture, and Order management, RightNow CRM, Lawson Financials, Cognos, Informatica

9. Experience in implementing external integrations with supply management

10. Experience implementing large scale eCommerce systems is a big plus.

11. Candidate must enjoy a fast-pace environment and possess strong software engineering skills.

12. Ability to adapt to new development environments, changing business requirements and learning new systems highly desired

13. Deep understanding of web services software architectural and design issues.

14. Strong technical vision, presentation and technology leadership skills

15. Ability to lead code reviews and technical design meetings
