It’s a long way from their native home in Madagascar, but lemurs have found their way to a Kelowna, BC based corporation - UWC Entertainment Ltd., which has officially launched www.lemurbay.com. Lemur Bay is the newest online virtual world for children, which has been in development over the past few years.

Unlike its predecessors with more antiquated technology, Lemur Bay features actual talking avatars, versus the traditional bubble-chat found in other virtual worlds. UWC Entertainment Ltd. has developed and built a custom designed game engine which incorporates the innovative text to speech (TTS) technology. Universal Webcaster has implemented the first server-based web chat room that features talking avatars that will have the capability of speaking in 22 different languages.

Likewise, speed is of essence in today’s market and Lemur Bay delivers world-class response times that are instant between scene changes!

As for fun, there are endless hours to be had at Lemur Bay. The site will continue to offer and add new features and upgrades. New and exciting themed areas, games, and educational content are already in the works with plans to release new content each month in order to keep the virtual world site stimulating, fresh, and exciting.
